Hey, your answer really opened my eyes, thanks for that! I'm definitely going to take my Crossland to a specialist. Do you happen to remember how much it cost you to replace the throttle body? And have you had any similar problems since the repair? Looking forward to your feedback.

Hey, I'm glad I could help you! I paid €345 to repair the internal mechanics of the throttle valve. Since then, the fault in the throttle potentiometer has been rectified and the car runs like clockwork again. No more rough idling and no more loss of power. I hope you have a similarly good experience with your Crossland. Don't hang your head, it will be fine! I look forward to hearing from you again!

Hey, thanks for the explanation and the figures, that really helps me! 345 is quite a lot, but if it solves my problem and gets my car running again, then it's worth it. It's very reassuring to hear that everything has been running smoothly for you since the repair. I will take my Crossland to the mechanic as soon as possible and hopefully it will run just as well. Your support has really motivated me! I'll let you know as soon as I have any news! Until then, take care and thanks again!

I have an Opel Crossland X 1,2 Turbo 130cp, when I run normally (rpm~2000) it's ok, if I accelerate and the revs increase (~3000 - 4000) the engine chokes. Today I pushed it a bit and after a few "hiccups" the "Engine fault" light came on. I turned it off and the fan ran for about 5 minutes, even though the temp was normal. After I started again, it ran at normal revs with no strange symptoms (just the engine light on the dashboard.

Hello AlexTeo, Your Opel Crossland X's issues with choking and the "Engine fault" light at high RPMs could stem from a few key areas: spark plugs or ignition system faults, problems in the fuel delivery system, blockages or leaks in the air intake. Additionally, the continued operation of the cooling fan post-shutdown hints at overheating or sensor inaccuracies. It's important to get a professional diagnostic to read the stored trouble codes, which will help identify the specific cause. Please keep us updated on your progress and let us know if you have any further questions.
Hi buddy, I have a 2015 Opel Mokka X and had similar problems to yours with this model. My car was also running extremely rough at idle and had lost power, the engine light was constantly on. The mechanic said that there was a defect in the internal mechanics of my throttle valve. An extremely jerky idling, loss of power and the engine light being on all the time caused him to do this. Apparently, this was also the reason for the increased consumption. This sounds very similar to your problem, so you could be right. This was definitely a serious issue that needed to be fixed, otherwise it could have led to further complications. The repair involved replacing the whole throttle body, as just cleaning or recalibrating it did nothing. I would recommend you get it checked out by a professional. It can be a bit complicated, but they know what they're doing. Good luck with that! Hopefully I've been able to help you.
