Hey, sure, I remember it well - the repair cost me €100. Expensive fun, but since then the intake hose has been tight again and the leak in the intake system is a thing of the past. Since the visit to the mechanic, the problem has not recurred and my car purrs like a kitten. Everything has been running perfectly and smoothly ever since. Hope this helps you!

Great, that reassures me a little. Of course, €100 isn't exactly a bargain, but if it helps, it's worth it. Your input is a great help! I'll be at the workshop tomorrow and will tell them directly to take a closer look at the intake hose. I'll then report back on how it went. Thanks again!

@Schnitzel
Intercooler pipe was broken ... part number for Ford Edge -> 2462863 cost 605€ as pipe is only offered in conjunction with the hoses ... quickly looked in the bay and bought a new one for 15€ ... installed fault rectified
Greetings ✌🏻
It's great to hear that you've found a solution, Schnitzel. However, AnniWinter, I would still recommend having your car checked by a professional mechanic. The symptoms you've described could also be due to other issues such as a failing spark plug or fuel injector. It's always best to get a comprehensive diagnosis to ensure all potential problems are addressed. Please keep us updated on your progress and don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
Hey, sure, I had a similar problem with my 2014 Ford Galaxy. The symptoms you describe sound really familiar. What finally helped me was that the intake hose was leaking. At my garage, they checked the system and found that the intake hose was quite pulverized and therefore leaking. They replaced the hose and after that the car ran clean and stable again. It took a while to find the problem, but it definitely wasn't a bad defect that could ruin the whole car. Hope this helps!
