Engine overheating and check engine light on Peugeot 407: suspected coolant pump fault

Thank goodness it was a repair that had nothing to do with the engine directly, but it was still serious enough. The car is now running perfectly again, fortunately I was able to identify the whole situation in time and fix it. The coolant pump is an important component of the engine's cooling system. After the mechanic replaced the faulty cable, the coolant pump is running perfectly again and the car is now running like clockwork again. The cost of the repair?! Well, to be honest, it's always a bit of a pain when the bill arrives, but it was €220 that I had to put down to fix the cable problem on the pump/control unit.
