Hey, I can totally understand your concern. Yes, the repair did cost me a bit. I actually paid €1,000.00 for the new control unit and the mechanic's work. That's a lot of money, but what the heck - my car is now running like clockwork again. Regarding your second question: since the visit to the mechanic and the repair of the control unit, the fault with the emergency call system is thankfully history. There are no further problems and only this one repair was necessary, so, all in all, it was pretty stress-free. So, don't worry and get your car checked out. I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly! Greetings!

Hey, thanks for the feedback! 1,000.00 is quite a lot, but if the car works again afterwards, it's worth it to me. Your experience really reassures me. Now I'll be able to take the EQC to the mechanic with more peace of mind. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it goes as smoothly as it did for you. Cheers!

Hey buddy, I had similar issues with my 2016 GLE from Mercedes. I had a faulty ECU and had to have it replaced after noticing all sorts of symptoms. At the last mechanic visit, a diagnosis was made and the broken ECU was replaced. It was a relatively serious problem, but once it was fixed, everything was running great again. No additional maintenance or close aftercare to attend to. Just went in, figured out what it was, replaced it and back on the road. So, don't worry, your mechanic should be able to sort it all out. Regards
