Electronic faults and problems with the navigation system in the Peugeot Rifter Diesel 2021 - experiences and solutions wanted

Navigationssystem is not working

General electric malfunction

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hey guys, I'm having problems with my 2021 Peugeot Rifter Diesel. I've noticed some electronic faults, my sat nav isn't working at all and warning lights have come on in the speedo. Could this be due to faulty communication between the control units? Have any of you ever had problems like this and can help me troubleshoot? I would be particularly interested to know what your garages have done and what your experiences have been. Thank you!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 5008, 2019 model. I describe myself as someone with little experience when it comes to car mechanics, but this definitely sounds like a problem with the ECU. I took it to my local garage and they confirmed that the ECU was faulty and sending incorrect signals to the BUS system. They then repaired it and I had to pay 1000 euros. To help you better, it would be helpful if you could give me more details about your car. Exactly which warning lights have come on? Any additional background will help with troubleshooting. Hope this helps!

Hi, thank you very much for your input. The warning light is the engine management system. Apart from that, everything was fine up to my current mileage of 95850 KM. Do you have any idea whether this could be related to my problem? The last service was only recently. Thanks in advance.

Hey, I had a very similar problem. In my 5008, the warning light for the engine management system came on first, and then came the problems with the navigation system. The garage replaced the control unit and the problem was solved. However, the high mileage is interesting. Have you carried out maintenance throughout the entire service life? Missing maintenance could also lead to the control unit problem. That's a guess, I'm not a car mechanic. But it could also be the electrical system or the battery. Sometimes low battery voltages can lead to problems with the electronics. I would advise you to go to an independent garage and have a fault memory read out first. That might give you a better idea of what the problem could be. All the best!

Hi, thanks for the further information! I'll get in touch with my garage and have the fault memory read out. I've actually always carried out the regular maintenance, except once, which was just under a year ago. I hadn't even thought about the battery, but that sounds logical. I'll report back what I find out. Thanks again for your help!
