Hey, I had a similar experience. I have a 2013 GLE petrol engine. Had problems with the electrics and then the sat nav stopped working. I also had the same warning light. It turned out that the control unit was faulty. At the time, I had the feeling it was a faulty coding, but it wasn't. They replaced the control unit at the garage. It was quite a big job, as the control unit controls many electronic systems in the car. So not something you can fix on the fly. Had to leave my car there for a few days.
