Electrical faults in Seat Leon 2017 - air conditioning compressor possibly defective?

A/C System Not Engaging

General electric malfunction

Hi everyone, I'm currently having a bit of trouble with my 2017 Seat Leon, which has been experiencing some electrical faults recently. My suspicion is that it could have something to do with the message error of the air conditioning system or possibly even the compressor is defective. Have you perhaps had similar experiences or can you give me some tips on how best to tackle this? I'm particularly interested in how you had the whole thing fixed in the workshop. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have had a similar problem with my 2016 Seat Ibiza. So almost the same model, just a year older. I'm not actually a car mechanic, but have average experience with cars. In my case, the compressor or control valve was defective. I took it to my trusted garage and they recognized the problem immediately. Fortunately, it was covered by the warranty, so I didn't have to pay anything - i.e. 0 euros. Do you have any more information for me?

Hi, thanks for your quick and helpful reply! Basically, it is the case that the symbol with the wrench lights up. No problem was reported at the last service about 46787 km ago. Maybe it really is the compressor, but I just have no idea. I should probably drive to my garage quickly before it gets worse. Thanks again for your support!

Hey, no problem! The wrench symbol usually indicates a general service issue. It could be a number of things, but possibly actually something with the compressor if you say you've had message errors too. In any case, I would advise that you go to the workshop as soon as possible. It is often the case with electrical faults that if you wait too long, the problem may get worse and the repair will be more expensive. If it really is the compressor, I would ask if it is still covered by the warranty. It was a stroke of luck with my Ibiza. Keep your fingers crossed that it's the same with your Leon! Please keep me posted and let me know what the garage thinks!

Exactly, I'll definitely check the warranty. I really hope it's nothing too serious. Thank you very much for your tips and advice. I'll get back to you when I know more. Then maybe I can help other people with similar problems. Until then, thanks again!
