Hey, thanks for the advice about the diagnostic scanner, that's a really good idea. I want to avoid my car being in the garage for days on end again. Your case seems to be pretty much what I'm afraid of and it's good to know that you were able to fix it successfully. Can you remember how much you paid for the repair at the mechanic? And did any other problems arise after the repair that you didn't have before? Thank you very much and hopefully I can find a better garage this time.

Hey, yes, of course I remember the repair. It was quite a lot of money, to be honest. It cost me €1000 to fix the 'defective control unit'. A bit steep, I know, but since then my car has been running like a dream again. And to answer your second question - no, after the visit to the mechanic, my 'fault on the Flex-Ray bus' was cleared up. Since then, no other problem has arisen that wasn't there before. So it was a really good investment, you have to know. Just make sure you find a reliable mechanic who won't pull the wool over your eyes. Good luck with it and let us know how it goes!

Hey, €1000 is quite a lot, but if everything works again afterwards, it seems to be worth it. Good to know you didn't have any other problems. Hopefully it's the same for me. Thanks for the encouraging words, I'm already looking for a good garage and will keep you posted! See you then and thanks again for your help!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2017 Peugeot 308 diesel not too long ago. After my electronic devices went crazy and warning lights came on, it quickly became clear that something was wrong. In my case, the control unit was also faulty. Since you had already suspected it, I can confirm that the problems could really be due to the control unit. In my case, the device had to be completely replaced. I don't want to worry you, but it really is a serious matter. The ECUs have a crucial role in controlling many electronic systems in the car and their failure can lead to significant problems. Try using a diagnostic scanner to read the fault memory first. If you're lucky, you'll get a detailed insight into the problem before you have to take the car to the workshop. See you then and good luck!
