Emergency system without function

Hey! Appreciate your quick response. My Lexus SC hasn't been modified since the last service, which was not too long ago at 158752 KM. Your experience with the speaker issue gives me some hope. I'll take it to my local shop and ask them to check that out too. It's a bummer when these unexpected problems come up, right? Thanks again for the advice!
No worries glad my experiences could be of some use. Yeah, it's a bit of a pain when these things happen, but hey, cars will be cars, right? Just give those guys a shout and they should help sort it out for you. But since you haven't modified anything recently, your instinct might be right about the error in the emergency call system. I'd definitely start there just to rule that out. Do keep us updated on how you get on, fingers crossed it's a simple fix! Oh, and one more thing, don't forget to check your fuses and wiring connections - it's a long shot but worth a look. Best of luck with it! Cheers!
Hey again! That's some solid advice, didn't even think about the fuses and wiring connections - I'll definitely get those checked out. Thanks for keeping my spirits high, it's easy to feel bogged down with all this. Will definitely update once I get to the bottom of this. Fingers crossed it's not a dreadfully expensive fix! Cheers for all the helpful tips!
Hey! I'm no expert, just a bloke with some experience on car matters, especially my sweet 2005 Lexus LS. Faced a somewhat similar annoyance - it turned out to be a broken speaker messing with the entire system. The guys at the local workshop identified the problem in no time. Set me back by 305€ for a new one and labor, but it was worth it - the car runs like a dream now. By the way, do you know if your Lexus SC has been tinkered with or modified recently? A bit more background on your car's history could help me (or someone else here) give you a more accurate advice. Cheers!
