Hey, thanks for your reply! So my Tarraco has surprisingly already racked up about 126637 KM on the meter. As for its service history, its last check-up was just a few months ago, nothing major to report there except for some routine maintenance. Your 250 Euro quote from the workshop isn't sounding so bad now though. I guess I'll have to prepare my wallet for this unexpected party, eh? Thanks again for your help, much appreciated!
No worries at all! Glad I could help. Given your Tarraco's mileage, this kind of stuff can pop up, can't it? It's quite surprising that it's acting up so soon after a check-up though. If it acts up again soon, you might want to consider a different garage, just saying. But yeah, prepare for a bit of a blow with the repair cost. For me, it was 250 Euro, but prices can vary depending on the garage. Do let us know how it goes and good luck with the repair! Keep cool in the meantime (pun intended). Take care!
Haha, I'll certainly try to keep a 'cool' head about it! I know cars can be a bit unpredictable, especially with a few miles on them, didn't expect this surprise though! I will seriously give some thought to your suggestion about switching garages if this happens again soon. Cheers for the heads up about variable repair costs, and sharing your experience - it's been massively reassuring. Will update here once the repair is done. Thanks for the well wishes and your pun game is on point, by the way! Stay safe!
Hey there, I can relate to your situation. I faced a similar problem with my 2020 Seat Leon (Petrol). I’m somebody with some hands-on car experience, still learning heaps every day. I took my flustered Leon to the local garage and after some checking, they found the speed sensor was indeed the culprit. I shelled out about 250 Euro to have it replaced and fixed. It's been smooth sailing since then. Can you tell me more about your Tarraco? Specific details like mileage, previous repairs, and so on could be helpful to get a better idea of what you're dealing with.
