Discussing Engine Vibration Issues and Potential Engine Mount Problems in a 2013 Mazda Biante

Vibrations from the engine

Hey fellow car enthusiasts, I've been noticing some unexpected vibrations from the engine of my 2013 Mazda Biante with a Gasoline engine. I'm suspecting the engine mount (vacuum controlled) might be to blame. Has anyone had a similar issue and got it fixed? I'd love to hear how the repair went down in your workshop and what your experiences were. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey there, sounds like your Mazda is giving you some aggravation. Coincidentally, I experienced something similar with my 2012 Mazda Premacy, basically similar model, and I've got some experience working with cars, nothing too profound though. Took the little beast to my local workshop. The guys there figured out it was a cable/connector problem on the engine mount pretty quickly. Bit of a pain, had to shell out 165 Euro to get it sorted. But, it did solve the nasty vibrations. Just a couple of questions to help you out more. Has your Biante got any other symptoms? How's it behaving when you rev up the engine? More info and I'll do my best to assist!

Hey, thanks for the quick response! Actually, that's pretty interesting, a cable issue wasn't something that struck my mind initially. Now, besides the vibration, nothing else seems really out of the ordinary. But when I rev up the engine, the vibration tends to get worse. And yep, no major repairs or replacements besides the usual service stuff. By the way, she's been with me for a good 236412 clicks, not sure if the high mileage is catching up with her or what. Cheers for any further insights!

Hey again, great to hear back from you! Your Mazda's symptoms remind me a lot of what I was dealing with. The vibrations getting worse when revving up is a tell-tale sign, just like on my Premacy. As for the high mileage, sure, it could be a contributing factor. But these are strong engines and made to last. I wouldn't write her off just yet. I reckon if the vibrations amped up when you rev your engine, then your instincts about the engine mount (vacuum controlled) could be spot on. And remember, in my case, it was a simple cable issue. Not saying it couldn't be a more expansive defect, but engines can play weird tricks sometimes. So it could be very likely that it’s the connection or the cables to the vacuum, rather than an actual engine mount defect itself. May I suggest getting a trusted mechanic to check the vacuum control system cables? I was a bit disgruntled about the 165 Euro at that time, but in all honesty, getting rid of that annoying vibration was worth it. Good luck! Be sure to give us an update on your Mazda's situation. Always interesting to see how these things pan out!

Hello again and thanks a ton for your advice! Your insight is really helpful and your experiences seem eerily similar to what I'm going through with my Biante. Your suggestion about the vacuum control system cables sounds really logical given what you went through with your Premacy. I think I'm going to take her into my trusted mechanic this week; let's see if it turns out to be the same cable issue you had. I honestly would be relieved if it's just that and nothing more major. 165 Euro to get rid of the annoying vibrations seems like a small price to pay for peace of mind. She might be old and has sure given me a fair share of clicks, but I'm not ready to give up on her just yet! Once I get her checked out, I'll definitely keep everyone posted. This forum has been mostly on the mark with its troubleshooting in the past and it seems like this time won't be any different. Thanks again, truly appreciate it!
