The thing was, it was something more serious than just a dead battery in the ignition key. In my case, the entire locking unit had to be replaced. They quickly replaced it and the warning light has been gone ever since - you feel a bit safer when the car is in tip-top shape again, don't you? As for the costs, the central locking system cost me quite a bit, 465 euros to be precise. The control unit was unfortunately defective and had to be replaced. But it's working now, and that's the main thing. Hope that helps you!
