Hey buddy, after your tip I went straight to the mechanic. You were right, the problem was the signal error in the interior temperature sensor, but it's now fixed. The bill was a shocker, let me tell you! I had to fork out €880 to repair the broken air conditioning control unit. So, be prepared if you ever have the same problem. Since then everything has been running like clockwork, no more air conditioning problems. The car feels exactly the same as before, if not better. All in all, although it was expensive, I'm glad I had it fixed. Hope my info helps you. Stay healthy and safe on the road!

Hey, thanks for the detailed answer, that really helped! 880€ sounds a bit steep, but if it helps, then it's worth it. It's good to know that your car will run well again afterwards. I'll let my garage know and have it checked out. Your experience has really opened my eyes, now I know what to look out for. Great that you took the time to reply to my post. I'm glad there are people like you who are willing to share their experiences. Stay healthy and safe on the road! Thanks again and see you next time!

Hello buddy! Had a similar problem with my 2007 Citroen C5 a few months ago. In my case, the air conditioning control unit was defective. The A/C unit stopped working properly, the temperature in the car could not be controlled, similar to what you described. The mechanic had to replace the entire air conditioning control unit. He said that it is some kind of central unit that has control over the air conditioning in the car. To be honest, it was quite a serious problem and costly to fix, but thankfully it was fine after the replacement. The car now feels completely different again, much more comfortable. So, I would definitely recommend having it checked by a professional. You don't want to risk it getting worse. Listen to your hunch and get it checked. Good luck with that, hopefully it's nothing serious!
