Thanks for the quick reply. Your experience has definitely encouraged me to take my Golf to a mechanic. Can you remember how much you paid for the repair? And have you had any other problems since then? Any information helps! Thank you!

Hi, no problem, I'm glad I could help. I paid €390 to repair the defective part, i.e. the door handle on the comfort access. Since the visit to the mechanic, the access control system hasn't made a noise. So, off to the mechanic with your Golf. I'm sure you'll be just as happy as I am afterwards. All the best!

Hey, great, thanks for your feedback and the cost information. That helps me a lot and saves me potential trouble. I'll gladly take your advice and take my Golf straight to the mechanic tomorrow. Hopefully it will go as smoothly as it did for you. Thanks again and take care!

Hey, you! I can understand this very well, because I had similar problems with my 2013 VW Passat. The lock was jamming and the key just wouldn't stay in. My mechanic then discovered that it was actually the access control system that was doing the antics. Not an earth-shattering problem, but it was definitely annoying. So you can take your Golf to the mechanic with peace of mind, he'll definitely be able to fix it. Good luck with that!
