Hey, thanks for your reply! Your experience actually sounds very similar to my problem. Were you happy with the repair? Do you remember roughly what you had to pay for it? And have there been any other problems since then, or was everything okay afterwards? Looking forward to your feedback!

Hi, I'm glad that my experience has helped you! I was really pleased with the repair. Since the visit to the mechanic, the defect in the fitting sensor has been rectified and everything is running smoothly again. The cost of repairing the defective cable was €155. Sure, it's a lot of money, but it was worth it to me. I haven't had any more problems since then and I'm really relieved that everything is running smoothly again. I hope it goes just as smoothly for you!

That's reassuring! Good to hear you're happy and there were no other problems. The cost is a bit higher than expected, but if it solves the problem, it's definitely worth the money. I suppose it was a real pain to go through, especially in the cold weather. But now I'm better prepared and know what to expect. Thanks again, buddy! Hope I have the same luck as you!

Hi mate, sounds really similar to my 2009 Opel Insignia that I had to repair a while back. It actually turned out that the cable connection was defective. The broken cables prevented the systems from working properly, which led to the symptoms you described: inadequate ventilation and problems with defrosting the mirrors. So it was a serious problem, because you can't see anything if your mirrors aren't clear or the heating isn't working. The guys in the workshop then replaced all the affected cables, which took a few hours. Once the defective cables had been replaced, everything ran smoothly again. I hope it will be just as easy for you. Good luck!
