Hey, that sounds really tough with the corroded cables! I think it's cool that you're so honest about your problem. Can you still remember what you paid for the repair? And has something similar happened again since then, or was that it with the complications? I hope it won't be quite so wild for me... Thanks for your reply!

Hey, sure, no problem. So after the visit to the garage, the situation has really improved. The windshield heating has been working perfectly ever since, so it was definitely a good decision to have it checked. In my case, the heating wires were defective and that cost me €585. Fortunately, I haven't had any more problems with the windshield heating since then. Hope that helps you. Good luck, man!

Wow, 585€ is a good chunk, but if it helps, it's worth it. Good to hear that everything has been fine with you since then. I think I'll follow your advice and have my windshield heating checked too. Thanks again for your helpful advice. I'll let you know how it goes. See you soon and have a safe journey!

Hey, I drive a Seat Toledo from 2012 and had a similar problem. Last time at the garage it was a nasty problem with the electronics, it was some cables that were badly corroded and needed replacing. They hooked up the diagnostic tool and found that the power to the heater for the windshield was intermittent. They said it was a pretty serious problem because a lot of water had gotten into the interior, which had damaged the cables. This may not be exactly what you have, but it could be similar. So I would recommend getting that checked out. Just my two cents. Good luck!
