Dead Steering Wheel Controls: Infiniti QX Help Needed

Thanks for the response! My mileage is currently at 131098 KM, and I just had my regular service done last month. No, I haven't noticed any other electrical issues this steering wheel control problem just happened out of nowhere yesterday. Everything else seems to be working fine. The dash, infotainment, and all other electronics are working perfectly normal. It's just really frustrating that none of the steering wheel buttons are responding! The weird thing is, there was no gradual decline they literally just stopped working when I started the car in the morning. Really appreciate your input about the cable issue that's helpful to know.
