Dacia Spring Electric 2022: Troubleshooting Electric Glitches, Fault Stored, Dimming Lights & Weak Battery Issue Potentially Linked to Terminal 15

Weak battery when starting the engine

Dim or flickering lights

Fault stored

General electric malfunction

Hey! I've run into a puzzling issue with my 2022 Dacia Spring Electric that I was hoping you could help me with. Lately, it's been acting rather odd with some general electric glitches, fault stored, dimming lights, and a weak battery on start-up. I suspect there might be some disruption at terminal 15 causing this. Any tips and strategies you could suggest to pinpoint and resolve this issue? I'd also appreciate if you could share your workshop experiences regarding similar problems. Cheers!

Hey there! Sounds like a tricky situation you've got there! I've had a somewhat similar issue with my 2020 Dacia Sandero Stepway. I reckon I have some experience with car troubles, although I'm no expert. It turned out to be a problem with the motor control main relay. I decided to take it to my local workshop where the guys are just top-notch. They diagnosed the problem and replaced the defective relay, which cost me 130€. Thankfully, it sorted out all the electric glitches and battery issues I was facing. However, I would need a bit more info on your car's symptoms to give some concrete advice. The year, model, mileage, and any error codes would be particularly useful. Anyway, hope this helps. Hang in there!

Hey! Thanks for the quick response. You don't know how much I appreciate it. Well, my Dacia Spring's mileage stands at 21358 KM. Since it's an electric model, I've been servicing it regularly at an authorized service center to keep it in tiptop shape. I haven't been able to pull any error codes yet, sadly. Thought of checking the terminal 15, but I was lost halfway. Now, with what you've shared, I'll bring up the motor control main relay in my next workshop visit. Fingers crossed and hoping this would sort out the electric glitches and battery issue, like it did for your Sandero Stepway. Thanks again for your help!

No trouble! I totally get your frustration. Been there myself with my Sandero Stepway. Your Dacia Spring has pretty decent mileage for an electric model, I must say! I don't think you can go wrong by bringing up the motor control main relay when you visit the service center next. Just my two cents, but I think it'd be reasonable for them to check it along with terminal 15 since it seems you were onto something already. If it happens to be a faulty relay like in my case, it might sting a bit with the repair cost, but you'll have peace of mind once it's all sorted. And you know what? A functional vehicle is worth every penny. Hang in there! Keep your chin up until it’s all sorted out. Make sure to share here how it turns out. We're with you on this one!

Hey, your support and advice mean a lot to me. I'll make sure to discuss both the motor control main relay and terminal 15 during my next service appointment. And, I'll brace for the repair costs -at the end of the day, it's all about the car working perfectly fine, right? You bet, I'll let you guys know how it turns out. Once again, a really big thanks for everything. Your advice and encouragement have definitely put my mind at ease. Cheers!
