Dacia Spring Electric 2021: Navigation System and Control Devices Issues; Seeking Advice and Experiences

Hey guys, my 2021 Dacia Spring Electric is acting up lately. I've noticed pretty broad electric issues, a non-responsive navigation system, and an ominous warning light on the speedometer. I'm thinking it might be an issue with the control devices communication. Has anyone come across these symptoms before and got it fixed? How did your workshop handle it and what was your experience? Appreciate any advice or insights!

Hey! I had a similar issue with my 2019 Dacia Sandero Stepway. Needless to say, I'm no car genius though had some experience tinkering with the mechanics. So, it seemed the culprit was the cable connection of the control unit being defective and giving problems to the BUS system. Got this sorted at my local workshop and set me back €155. Worked like a charm post that. To help you better, could you share if there were any specific incidents, like unusual noises or changes in how your vehicle's performance around the time the trouble kicked in? Also, if you've run any diagnostics yourself or at a workshop, the results could be handy! Cheers.

Thanks! It's comforting to know that I'm not the only one with that kind of problem. I didn't notice any peculiar noises or changes in performance, it just started out of nowhere. Haven't ran any diagnostics yet, but I'll try to do that soon. My Spring's running on 118501 KM currently, and the last service was not too long ago. Hope they can sort it out without making my wallet too thin. Fingers crossed!

No worries! Yeah, these issues can indeed spring up without any warning (no pun intended). To me, it sounds like it could still be a communication issue between your control devices. If I were you, I'd definitely get that diagnostic run earlier rather than later. It can really help pinpoint the issue. From my own experience with my Dacia, this could be due to some device being defective or due to some frayed wiring. It's by no means a comprehensive list but getting it checked will surely help prevent further electrical nuisances and potential damage. Good luck with the whole thing. Hope it won't be too hard on your pocket! Keep us updated!

Thanks for the tip! Yeah, I'm definitely going to get that diagnostic run sooner rather than later. I really hope it's nothing too serious like frayed wiring. But, like you said, better to know now and stop any potential damage in its tracks. Your advice has been a big help. I'll keep you guys posted about what I find out and how it goes. Fingers double-crossed it won't burn a hole in my pocket! Cheers!
