Dacia Spring Electric 2021 Navigation System Issue: Seeking Advice for Possible Control Device Error

Navigationssystem is not working

Hey everyone, I'm having a peculiar issue with my 2021 Dacia Spring Electric. The navigation system just stopped working out of the blue. My hunch is that it might be some kind of message error between control devices, but I'm not 100% sure. Has anyone here experienced something like this and figured out how to fix it? Would love to hear what the issue was and how you or your workshop managed to sort it out. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! So I had a similar issue with my 2019 Dacia Duster. Have to admit, my level of car expertise is somewhere around 'low to some experience', no expert here. I took my Duster to my trusted workshop where they traced the issue back to a damaged CAN Bus. Sadly, no other way around it but to fix it, ended up setting me back by 235€. Does your Spring Electric have any other symptoms apart from the non-working navigation system? Or did it just stop functioning without any signs? The extra info could help me (or us) understand what's happening with your top-notch EV. Hope this helps! Hang in there!

Hey, thanks for the quick reply! Interestingly, other than the navigation problem, my Spring Electric has been behaving absolutely normal. There were no warning lights or sudden performance drops; the dang thing just decided it was done for the day! I guess I should get it checked by professionals, don't want the issue to turn into something nastier. It's just been about a year and my car's already seen 117466 km (I know, right? Quite a traveler!). Wonder if it has something to do with the amount of distance covered. Anyway, I'll keep you posted on what my workshop finds. Cheers again!

Hey! 117,466 km in a year, that's truly impressive, my friend! It's like your Dacia's on a world tour. Now on to the issue, yeah, it does seem like a trip to the workshop is needed. I would definitely recommend doing that sooner rather than later considering that there might be no symptoms now other than the navigation error, but you never know what next could pop up, right? But don't worry too much. These machines sometimes have their off days. My Dacia has had few problems too; remember the CAN bus issue I mentioned? And then there was the problem with the coolant system. But she's been running smoothly since. Quite a workhorse, honestly! So hang in there, and do keep us updated on what the professionals at the workshop find. Wish you and your Spring Electric a quick recovery. Cheers.

Appreciate your kind words and the calming advice! Yeah, my Dacia Spring is indeed in the league of world tour cars. Ha! I'll certainly take it to the workshop ASAP and keep your previous experiences in mind. Seems like our Dacias really do have their moods and quirks, don't they? To bad they can't talk! Anyway, I'll update the thread as soon as I have some news from the workshop. Thanks again, and here's hoping for a quick solution and no more unexpected problems. Cheers!
