Yo! Reading your story felt like looking into a mirror, as I've also battled some braking dramas with my old Dacia Sandero. Looks like this brake pedal position sensor bug is quite a character, hey? Sounds funny, but not when it starts messing with the brakes, innit? Resonating with the last answer, I had to go around the houses before a decent mechanic figured it out and gave me a proper solution. The guy had to deal with the brake pedal, same as yours, and put a wrap on the ABS system too. Smooth sailing since then! Out of interest, do you recall how much damage it made to your wallet? Also, have you had any other gremlins creeping back since you fixed hers up? The last thing any of us need is a sequel! Best of luck!
Hey, good day! Totally catch your drift. That brake pedal position sensor was a devil of a job on my Sandero. But let me tell you, after visiting my trusty grease monkey, she's been behaving like a beauty. Your curiosity about the hit on the pocket ain't surprising, but let me tell you, it was a big ol' goose egg - yes, ZERO €! You read that right. It was a personal error and they got it fixed without costing me a dime. Pretty smooth, huh? And as for the question about any other nasty spirits popping up after the fix, thankfully, no. My lady's been driving smooth as silk since then. No more flashing warning lights or playing games with the brakes. So, it seems like, once you've tamed this brake pedal position sensor bug, you're pretty much sorted. I hope it settles the score for your Sandero too. Good luck!
Wow, guys! Your replies knocked my socks off. More than just helpful - they’re proper comforting. Having heard the journeys each of you went through, I feel a bit more prepared. Also, massive pet on the back for getting the whole thing sorted with zero bucks. Might just be your luck, yes, but it's still uplifting to know that not all fixes need to break the bank. From what I'm gathering, locating a skilled mechanic familiar with our moody Dacias is the crucial first step. Dealing with this brake pedal position sensor issue seems like wrestling with a bear, but I'm ready to dive headlong into it now. I rue any other gremlins making a surprise visit, but seems like once you've gotten a handle on this one, there's no turning back. Again, cheers for the detailed posts. Your experiences and advice are worth their weight in gold. Here's to hoping my drama won't be a grand encore and get sorted without any sequels. Pedals crossed! Thanks again and keep safed.
Hey there! Went through something similar with my 2016 Dacia Logan. It was a total mystery at first, with similar erratic braking behavior and the ABS/DSC system acting like it had hit the pub too hard. No fun no fun. Took it down to my local wrench turner who suggested the same thing that you're thinking - brake pedal position sensor. He got busy on it and while he didn't have any birds pecking at him, it was a bit of a job. Replaced the brake pedal assembly and sensor, adjusted the brakes, did a complete fluid job, and he also ended up having to fix the anti-lock braking system as well. It was no casual work, to be honest and required quite a bit of digging around. So you might be on the money with your suspicion. It's not a light job and it's crucial to take it to someone who knows their onions. The good news though, my Logan's running as smooth as a kitten on a warm rug now, no more brake light disco. Good luck with yours!
