Hey! Thanks a ton for the insight. Sounds like our Dacias had a date with the same gremlin, doesn't it? But I'm glad to hear your fix wasn't a complete nightmare. Do you happen to remember how much that repair set you back? And has anything else cropped up related to the same issue since they patched it up? Cheers again!
Hey there! Yeah, it does seem like our Dacias had a run-in with the same pesky glitch! So about the cost, it wasn't as bad as I feared - it came out to around 155 Euro. They fixed the defective cable/plug connection and thankfully, that sorted out the Electric power steering signal. And I’m happy to report that since seeing the mechanic, there's been no reruns of that particular drama. Looks like that repair really hit the nail on the head. Still, the car hasn't quite reached antique status, so it might yet whip out some new surprises! Stay strong and cheers!
Hey! That's pretty reassuring to hear – 155 Euro doesn't sound like too much of a hit. I'll definitely have my mechanic check out the cable and plug connections. Fingers crossed, it'll sort out this steering nightmare. And hopefully, my Dacia decides to play nice from here on out. Thanks a bunch for your help. Safe driving!
Hey! Totally feel your pain. I’ve got a 2015 Dacia Duster myself and faced something similar a while back. The culprit? Dodgy cable connection. Mine was more around the ABS system, but boy, that steering wheel shake was familiar! It wasn’t the end of the world though. Took it to the garage and they found a defective plug connection, presumably fatigued from years of use, right? They had to give the whole system a good once over, tidied up the wiring and replaced the faulty connectors. Actually, it ended up being a crucial fix because, let's face it, without ABS/DSC and power steering, it's straight-up dangerous. Hope that helps might be worth having your mechanic check the cable and plug connection. Good luck!
