Hey there! Reading your comments got me virtually nodding my head. I faced a similar issue a while back with my '18 Logan. I second your experience! The sensor info can make a world of difference. I wonder, though, do you remember how much you had to fork out for the repair? Did you end up facing any other problems with your Dacia since then? Appreciate your insights!
Hey, good to see you guys chiming in. So, about the cost, it was pretty reasonable - a run-of-the-mill 95€ to get the cable or plug connection from the sensor put right. Not a major blow to the wallet, huh? And, since that little problem, my Dacia has been running smoother than ever. You see, the ambient temp sensor was giving a wrong read and throwing the A/C off its game. But since my mechanic had it sorted, I've been enjoying top-notch performance. Not one problem since then! Remember clarity is power when it comes to mechanics. Stick with that and you'll have your ride purring like a kitten in no time!
Cheers guys, really appreciate your experiences and guidance. So, seems like I was on the right path suspecting the old ambient temp sensor there. Not too fussed about the price as long as it gets fixed right. From what you guys said, it made me realise clear communication is the way to go - I'll be frank, firm, yet friendly with the mechanic. Hopefully, my Dacia'll be back in prime shape, ready to roll. Fingers crossed! I'll keep you updated. Thanks again, y'all certainly eased some of my worries. Can't wait for the ac in my car to start throwing chilled vibes again! Cheers!
Hey, let me tell you, you just described what I experienced with my '16 Dacia Sandero. Found out it was indeed my ambient temp sensor playing tricks. Turns out, the cable or plug connection from the sensor can get quirky. My mechanic had to do a full check to approve my hunch. Little tinkering, cleaning, and securing connections did the trick - not entirely serious, but important nonetheless. It's all about sensor getting the right info to the A/C system, y'know? As for dealing with mechanics, clear communication is the key. Lay it all on the table - no beating around the bush. Overemphasize on your suspected issue and insist on a full diagnostic. Got your back!
