Hey, thanks for the insight! Never would have guessed it could be something to do with a sensor. Your story sounds a lot like what I'm dealing with. Could you recall what it cost you to sort out your sensor issue? And have you noticed any other problems since fixing it? Again, appreciate the heads up!
Hi again, You're welcome, happy to help! When it came to sorting out the sensor issue, it set me back about 315€. But considering the trouble it was causing, I think it was quite a steal! As for your other question, after the repair, things have been running pretty smoothly actually. Oh, about that active hood malfunction, yeah, I did face that too, but since the trip to the mechanic, it's been fixed as well. So, I'd definitely say it's worth getting it checked out. Don't hesitate, my it's always good to stay on top of these things. Best of luck!
Awesome! Thanks for the useful info and encouragement. Knowing it didn't cost an arm and a leg is definitely a relief. Your smooth ride post-repair is inspiring! I'm definitely going to book a mechanic, and hopefully sort out this sensor issue. I'm itching to get my Lodgy back in tip-top shape. Appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience. Means a lot. Take care and safe driving! Cheers!
Hey! I get where you're coming from, mechanic trips can be a real hassle sometimes. With my 2017 Dacia Logan MCV, I had a similar case where odd warning lights were popping up – even had the fuel gauge playing hide and seek with me at one point. Turned out, the issue was with the acceleration sensor located inside the engine control unit (ECU). The mechanic had to clean and fix the sensor, and that solved the issue. So, yeah, it seems like there could be a problem with your car's sensor too, given your symptoms. Mind you, defective acceleration sensor can be pretty serious; it can not only mess with your safety systems (like airbags) but could considerably affect your engine performance as well - so don't take it lightly. You've clocked up quite the kilometers on your Lodgy, and so I'd recommend getting your awesome ride over to a trusted car doctor ASAP! Cheers and good luck!
