Hey, your experience really struck a chord with me. I own a 2018 Dacia Lodgy with nearly the same mileage and had a similar run-in with these kind of issues. Once we identified the damaged wiring harness and replaced it, my girl was back in her prime in no time. But it has got me curious, do you recall roughly how much you had to shell out for the fix? And since the repair, have you run into any further hitches or has she been all good sailing from there on out? Hope everything’s been good, cheers!
Hey, good to hear from you! Now, speaking about the cost, it was around 155€ for sorting out that pesky Wiring harness, which was causing all the trouble. Not the cheapest but hey, seeing my Dacia back in shape was totally worth every penny. Once we got that fixed, it did solve the problem with the Boost pressure actuator, and the difference was like night and day! After that repair, I'm happy to report no more popping check engine lights or any of those other nasty symptoms. It's been smooth riding all the way! Fingers crossed it stays that way, eh? Anyway, good luck with your Lodgy and safe driving!
Thanks for sharing your experience! It definitely gives me an idea and I guess I am on the right track about the issue with the boost actuator and the wiring harness. It doesn't sound cheap, but I'd rather pay for quality work and get rid of these worrying signs. It's really encouraging to hear your Dacia has been doing well after the fixes. It does give me hope that mine would get back on track too! I'll take your advice and make sure to keep up the regular maintenance. Oh, and don't worry, fingers crossed here too! Safe driving to you as well! Thanks again!
Hey there! I feel your worry - had a very similar issue with my 2014 Dacia Sandero. Mine's a diesel too, and she started showing identical symptoms. Check engine light shining bright, weird noises under the hood, and that drop in power you've described - I know exactly where you are coming from. After a bit of a back and forth with my usual guy at the garage, we found out that it was indeed a problem with the Wiring harness connected to the boost pressure actuator. It had got damaged over time, which was contributing to improper signals being sent to the car's ECU, which in turn affected the turbocharger behavior. Though it might not seem like a big deal, it had quite a serious impact on the performance of my vehicle. Fixing it up entailed replacing the damaged wiring harness entirely. That, along with a good cleanup, sorted out the engine's performance issues and things have been sailing smooth since then. Just remember, regular maintenance can help prevent these kind of problems cropping up out of nowhere. Best of luck!
