Hey there, That sounds too close for comfort! So it was a faulty cable messing with your steering angle sensor, huh? Makes me even more sure of my gut feeling - seems like my Duster is throwing the same fit. Since you’ve been down this road, mind if I pick your brain a bit more? Do you recall how many quid you had to part with for your Logan's cable replacement? And how about afterwards? Any more similar goofs since the big fix or has your Logan been behaving? Look forward to your two cents. Cheers.
Hey there, Yep, you nailed it. It was indeed a buggy cable causing shenanigans with my steering angle sensor. As far as the cost of the repair goes, it did lighten my wallet a bit - parted ways with 155 Euro for the fix. Now your Duster might be a tad different, can’t give you an exact figure but give or take, it should be in the same ballpark. And to answer your second question, I haven't had any such troubles since. It's been smooth sailing after the fix. The mechanic who sorted my Logan out did a bang-up job. No more Christmas tree light shows on my dash or any of that nonsense and, importantly, the communication with the steering angle sensor has been spot on. Fingers crossed it stays that way! Hope this helps and wish you a quick and painless fix for your Duster! All the best.
Hey champ, Thanks for getting back with the lowdown! Good to know that your Logan's been playing nice after that fix. Got to admit, your mention of 155 Euro for sorting the cable got me a tad jittery. But hey, if it puts my Duster on the mend, I bet it'll be money well spent. Much appreciate your insight and well wishes. Off I go to face the music again at the garage. Will keep ya posted on what my mechanic comes up with. All being well, he'll patch up my Duster good and proper. Until then, stay in the green! Cheers.
What's up I've got a 2019 Dacia Logan rolled about 80K km, and had a similar sort of trouble not too long ago. The ABS was going haywire and my airbag light was on full-time, like a Christmas tree! Knew straightaway, something was off. Turns out it was a defective cable connection to the sensor, more specifically - to the steering angle sensor you were talking about. Sure enough, the communication was all messed up. I'd venture to say it's kinda serious not end-of-the-world type but definitely it can cause you some trouble while driving. Not something you can just ignore. Don't want to scare you but just giving you heads up, it might be the same issue with your Duster. Your mechanic will have to inspect the thing closely, probably check all the connections, maybe even replace some cables. Hope your visit to the garage goes better than the last time for both of us! Cheers.
