Yo! Thanks for your insight. Sounds like a pretty similar scenario to what's happening with my Dokker. Both annoying yet relieving hearing that it wasn't a major problem with your Sandero. I'm curious though, do you recall how much you ended up shelling out for this fix? Also, have you run into anything similar or any new issues since you got it sorted? Thanks again!

Hey! I'm glad my experience could be of some help. It was indeed like yours with the Dokker. About the cost, I ended up paying around 90€ to put things right, not too painful I'd say. As for your second question, I’m happy to report that since the mechanic resolved the system readiness issue, I've not had any related problems. The car's been running smoothly, which is a good sign. Seems like it was truly just down to the battery switch messing up the system checks. Hope your fix will be as effective as well. Best of luck!

I really appreciate it! That's a balm for the old nerves knowing it didn't hit your wallet too hard or cause any bigger hassles afterward. I'll keep my fingers crossed my Dokker's problem is just the same glitch as you had with your Sandero. Thanks again for the reassurances and the useful info. Off to the mechanics I go...let's hope the bearers of spanners and wrenches will be kind and the system checks will be cooperative as well. I'll update on how it goes. Cheers!

Hey there! I had a pretty similar issue with my 2018 Dacia Sandero last spring. When I disconnected the battery to replace it, I also saw that pesky warning light. Turned out it was because the system readiness check couldn't complete properly. Took it to the local garage, and the mister there explained that when a battery is disconnected or replaced, all the memory in the vehicle's systems is erased. This includes the readiness check results. Basically, the car's systems have to retest everything and make sure all's working as it should. Wasn't a super-serious issue, but I had to let them reset the car's systems and run a complete readiness check again to clear that warning light off the dash. It was a tad annoying, but relatively straightforward to sort out. Just remember to let your car run through all its system checks next time you're switching out your battery! Hope that helps!
