Dacia Dokker 2021 Gas Model: Solutions for ABS Light Issue and Faulty Brake Light

Hey, got a little trouble with my '21 Dacia Dokker (gas model). Lately, the ABS light's popped on, and the brake light seems to be out of action. Thought it might be a faulty brake light switch. Any of you guys run into a similar issue? How did you or your mechanic fix this? Any input is appreciated. Cheers!

Hey! I have some experience with car maintenance, not an expert by any means. I had a similar issue with my '19 Dacia Sandero. Turned out, it was simply a personal error in my case. No costs at all. Have you checked the manual and made sure everything is operating as it should? If you're having trouble, you may wanna have a professional look at it. Can you tell me more about your car usage like mileage, any recent repairs etc.? That might help to pinpoint the issue. Cheers!

Hey, appreciate your input. Yeah, checked the manual but no dice. My Dokker's around 67189 KM km now and haven't had any major repairs or incidents recently. The latest service was pretty normal too. Just this pesky ABS light and break light issue cropped up outta nowhere. Guess I might need to bring it to a pro. Cheers for the advice!

Hey again! Given the mileage you've mentioned, this issue might be related to wear and tear. Considering there weren't any recent repairs or incidents, it's curious but these little gremlins do pop up. I had a similar problem at around the same mileage on my '19 Dacia Sandero. Suspecting the brake light switch wasn't far off. The brake light switch, sensor, or related wiring might be at fault. It could also be a problem with the ABS module or system. Sometimes, a fault with this can also throw up the brake light warning. Here's what I suggest, get a mechanic to run an OBD (On-Board Diagnostic) scan. This could help you determine if it's a switch, sensor, or ABS system issue. Just to put your mind at ease, it could be a simple part replacement, perhaps a bit pricey, but nothing too dramatic. Hope this helps and hope your Dacia Dokker gets rolling beautifully again soon. Cheers!

Hey, thanks a ton for that detailed advice, I appreciate it! Based on what you said, it does look like an issue with some sensor or the ABS system. I'm not a huge car whizz, so having your insight helps a lot. Gonna schedule a trip to the mechanic this week and ask him to run that OBD scan. Fingers crossed it's just a simple replacement, wallet could use a break. Will keep you guys posted about how it all pans out. Again, thanks for the help! Cheers!
