Hey there, Thanks for the quick response! That's good to hear that a quick hose replacement sorted out your issue. Not every day you stumble upon a problem you can't throw money to solve, eh? Regarding my car deets, my Dokker has clocked in about 60520 KM and the last service I had was a few months back at 55000 KM. Didn't replace any parts though, just standard maintenance, oil change, filter change, and all that jazz. Fingers crossed it's as simple as a busted hose for me too! Cheers.
Howdy, Just read your update! Given that your maintenance check was not too long ago, and considering the mileage, your Dacia seems to be in a pretty decent state. From my own experience with my Lodgy, these symptoms at your mileage level could certainly point towards a leak in the intake system. However, the only way to confirm it is by running a smoke test or having a mechanic inspect the vehicle. If it turns out to be the hose issue like mine was, then it's super easy to fix, won't burn a hole in your wallet. That being said, if the issue is not due to a leak, it could be a spark plug or ignition coil issue contributing to the unsteady engine and these parts should have been checked in your last service. Hope your Dacia's problem turns out to be an easy fix just like mine was. Remember, the more annoying the problem, the sweeter the victory when you finally squash it! Keep your chin up!
Hey back, Cool, the mileage and servicing details help a bunch! It really sounds like your intake system might be the culprit. As advised, a smoke test or mechanic's inspection should help pinpoint it. If it's a hose, well then lucky you for an easy and not so pricey fix! On the other hand, if the unsteady engine isn't due to a leak, it could be a spark plug or ignition coil issue. You mentioned you didn't replace anything during your last service, so that might just be it. Either way, here's to hoping your Dacia's issue is a quick and easy fix! And remember, every car problem is just a puzzle waiting to be figured out. Thanks for the chat and keep your spirits up! We've got your back.
Hey! Kinda funny, I had almost the same problem with my 2018 Dacia Lodgy, Diesel variant. Now, I'd say I have some basic grease monkey skills, so when my ride gave similar tantrums, I thought I'd give it a go. Thought it was an intake hose leak and indeed it was. I took my old gal to a trusted mechanic and he confirmed it. We replaced the busted hose and things went back to normal. All that jazz cost me around 100€. As every engine is different, it might not be the exact same issue for you. Could you tell me more about your vehicle's mileage? Also, when was the last time you replaced any parts? This way, I can maybe narrow down the issue and help out a touch more. Good luck!
