Hey, thanks for sharing your experience. Helpful to note about the cable connection. I've got roughly 140147 KM on the clock and just had a service recently. Didn't get any error message directly, just a stored fault that kinda popped up. Haven't made any significant change to the wheels or experienced anything else off lately, just the pesky cruise control acting up. Will probably drop it off at the local garage soon and see what they make of it. Cheers for the help!
No worries! Sounds like a good plan. Just to throw in my two cents from handling a similar issue - don't overlook the simple stuff. If you've had a recent service, there's a chance something could've been knocked loose or not put back correctly. Sometimes, it's just a loose cable or sensor that's causing the Cruise control to malfunction. In the meantime, you could also quickly check the brake light switch - a faulty one can mess with your Cruise Control. I had an old sedan that had this issue; the Cruise Control was working intermittently, replaced the brake light switch and voila, it was back in the game! Let us know what your garage says. All the best with the process, and fingers crossed it's an easy fix for you and your 2021 Seat Tarraco! Cheers!
Cheers! I'll bear all that in mind. You're right about the simple stuff, could well be a loose cable or sensor. I'll try to eyeball the brake light switch before taking it in; maybe I hit the jackpot and it's just that bugger messing things up! Either way, I'll drop you all an update once I've been to the garage. Thanks heaps for the help and the positive vibes. You're a diamond!
Hey, had a similar puzzle with my 2019 Seat Arona, diesel version though. I'm no car whiz, just got some touch with car stuff over time. Turns out it was a Cable connection defective issue. Took it to my local workshop, and the lads out there were mega helpful. They looked into it and discovered a dud cable causing all the trouble. In the end, got to shell out about 95 Euro, but it was worth it. Cruise control's been smooth as a breeze since then. Could you perhaps share the specific error message you're seeing, and any additional details like recent changes to your vehicle or related incidents? Might be able to throw in a few more suggestions based on those.
