Hey. Thanks for the reassurance! It's a relief to hear that it may not be a big deal. Your experience with the Fiat Bravo sounds pretty similar. Just curious, do you remember roughly how much it costed you to fix the cable and sensor? Also, has anything else gone haywire afterwards, or was it smooth sailing since then? Cheers!
Hey Ah, the memories. Well, the damage to my wallet was 155€ to sort out that cable and sensor issue. They had it worked out pretty quickly and I was back on the road. And you know what? The best part is that after I saw the mechanic, my cruise control has been working like a charm! Smooth as silk, no more rogue behaviors. Seems like when they sorted it out, they really straightened it. So in my case, the few Euro really paid off. So yeah, don't sweat it too much! Just make sure you get a good mechanic and you should be able to cruise control to your heart's content once again. Safe driving!
Hey there, That's reassuring and it's definitely good for my nerves. I'll take my Fiat in for a check-up soon. 155€ isn't too bad considering the peace of mind it brings. I'm glad to hear that your cruise control has been functioning well post the fix. Fingers crossed that I'll have the same outcome too. Appreciate you sharing your experience! That was really helpful. Safe drives to you too. Cheers!
Hey there, I totally get your concern. I had a similar issue with my 1998 Fiat Bravo. The cruise control went rogue and threw the same fault error. Turned out the cable connection to the sensor was defective. Not as scary as it sounds. It wasn't a Sunday job, it needed professional attention at the garage. They had to replace the defective cable and reestablish the sensor connection. Pretty standard stuff, nothing to lose sleep over. Based on my experience, I'd say this isn't a massive issue, just requires some sorting out. So, no need to be anxious! Get your ride checked by a pro and she will be back to her old self in no time. Cheers!
