Hey there, thanks for the insight, really helpful! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I believe I've got a fair idea of what to expect now. Although I'm curious, if you don't mind me asking, do you recall roughly what it cost you to repair that cable connection? And has anything else similar popped up since it was fixed? Cheers!

Heya! Glad to hear that you found my experience helpful. As for the cost, I shelled out roughly 95€ for the entire cable connection repair. A bit of dough, sure, but considering it put my cruise control back on track, I'd say it was worth it! Since that fix, there have been no other issues similar to it popping up. Everything's been smooth sailing with my 2005 Nissan thus far. Hope you get your 2002 Platina sorted without any pivots too. Good luck with it! Cheers!

Cheers for the extra details, I appreciate it! 95€ doesn't sound too terrible for sorting out the issue, fingers crossed I land somewhere around the same ballpark. It's great to hear no other problem has popped up on your end since the fix. Gives me hope that once settled, my Platina will keep cruising smoothly as well. Thanks again, you've been a great help. Off to find a good mechanic now. Wish me luck!

Hey, had a similar situation with my 2005 Nissan Senta. My issue wasn't with cruise control, but actually with radio frequency interference that was messing with my electrics. Long story short, it was a faulty cable connection. From my experience, I'd reckon your issue is likely the cable connection too. The last visit to the garage focused on checking out the whole electric system, track down the problem, then replacing the recognized faulty cable. They also did a reset on some modules to clear the codes. Now it wasn't just a quick fix bro, but it wasn't the end of the world either. Just putting it out there, in case you feel overwhelmed: it turned out to be quite standard to get it sorted. You don't have to spill tons of money into it I'd say. The most important thing is to find a good, trustworthy mechanic who's familiar with Nissans. Hope this info gives you some peace of mind! Good luck!
