Thanks for sharing your experience! That's really helpful as it sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with. Makes me feel better knowing it might just be an electronics issue rather than something major. Hey, do you remember roughly how much the reset and calibration cost you? Also, has everything been running smoothly since then, or have you noticed any other quirks?
Hey again! Yeah, happy to help fill you in on those details. The whole thing cost me 90 Euro at my garage, pretty reasonable considering how it solved the problem completely. Since getting it sorted, my Mokka's been running like a charm with absolutely no warning lights or any other issues. The System readiness check not completed warning disappeared right after they did their thing with the diagnostic computer, and it hasn't popped up since. It was exactly what I thought, just the car being picky after the battery work. These modern cars with all their electronics can be so sensitive sometimes! It was definitely worth getting it done properly rather than trying any DIY fixes. The mechanic knew exactly what he was doing with the reset and calibration process, makes a difference when they have the right equipment for Vauxhalls. Let me know how you get on with yours. It really sounds like the same issue I had, so hopefully it'll be just as straightforward to fix!
Update on my Vauxhall situation, finally got it sorted! Took your advice and found a garage that specializes in Vauxhall diagnostics. You were spot on, it was just the system being finicky after some recent battery work I had done. Ended up paying 85 Euro for the reset and calibration, which wasn't bad at all. The mechanic was really thorough and explained everything. Hooked it up to their diagnostic computer, did some fancy reset procedure, and boom, warning lights gone! Been driving it for a week now with no issues. Funny thing is, the mechanic mentioned they see this quite often with newer Vauxhalls. Wish I'd asked here sooner instead of stressing about it! Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction, saved me from imagining all sorts of expensive repairs. Time to stop worrying and enjoy driving my CrosslandX again!
I had a similar issue with my 2016 Vauxhall Mokka diesel last month. After disconnecting the battery for replacement, I got those warning lights too. Took it to my garage, and turns out the car's computer system needed a proper reset and calibration. The mechanic mentioned that modern diesels are quite sensitive to battery disconnections, and it wasn't just about reconnecting, the entire engine management system needed to relearn some parameters. The fix wasn't major, they hooked it up to their diagnostic computer, ran a full system reset, and did some calibration procedures. My car had around 198,000 km at the time. In my case, it wasn't a serious mechanical issue, just the electronics being fussy. The warning lights cleared up right after, and haven't come back since. If you're looking for a garage, make sure they have proper diagnostic equipment for Vauxhall vehicles. Those warning lights could be the car just needing a proper reset, but it's worth getting it checked to be sure.
