Crossland X False Tire Pressure Alerts: Sensor Issue?
Tire pressure to low
6 comment(s)
Thanks for the info! My CrosslandX has done 17396 KM and had its latest service about two months ago. The warning actually started popping up more frequently during the recent cold snap. I'll get it checked out at the garage, sounds like it could be the same sensor issue you had. Did you need to book yours in advance for the TPMS fix, or was it a quick job they could do same day?
Hey again! Yeah, with my Grandland X, it was pretty much the same timing, started acting up more when the temperatures dropped. For the repair itself, I actually got lucky, called my regular garage in the morning, and they squeezed me in that afternoon. The actual fix only took about an hour, but I'd recommend booking ahead just to be safe. These days most places are pretty backed up. Just a heads up, since you mentioned the cold weather and your car having similar mileage to what mine had when this happened (mine was around 18000 KM), it's almost definitely the same sensor issue. The cold weather tends to mess with these sensors when they're starting to fail. By the way, after they fixed mine, they suggested checking the tire pressure manually every few weeks anyway, especially during temperature changes. Been doing that since, and it's helped catch any real pressure drops early. Let me know how it goes with yours!
Thanks so much, that's really helpful! I'll give my garage a call tomorrow morning and try to get it booked in. Good tip about the manual pressure checks too, I'll definitely make that a regular habit, especially since winter's coming up. Really appreciate you sharing your experience, it's put my mind at ease knowing it's likely just a sensor issue and not something more serious. I'll keep an eye on the temperatures too, since that seems to be a trigger. Thanks again for all the advice!

Hi where is the boost pressure sensor on my Vauxhall Astra k 1.4 turbo please
The boost pressure sensor on your Vauxhall Astra K 1.4 Turbo is typically located on the intake manifold. To access it, you may need to remove any engine covers or components that are obstructing your view. It's a small sensor with an electrical connector attached. If you're planning to inspect or replace it, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery for safety. Let me know if you need further assistance or have any questions!
Hey there! I have some experience with cars and had a similar issue with my 2020 Vauxhall Grandland X diesel last year. The symptoms were exactly the same, constant low tire pressure warnings despite proper inflation. Turned out the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensor battery was dead. Took it to my regular workshop, and they replaced the sensor battery. Cost me around 280€ for the fix, including labor. Works perfectly now, no more false warnings. Which trim level is your CrosslandX, and how many miles has it done? This could help narrow down if it's the same issue. Also, do you notice if the warning appears more when the weather changes?
