Headlight cleaning system without function

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience! Glad you got it sorted. Quick question, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the repair? Also, has everything been running smoothly since then, or have you noticed any other quirks with the washer system? Mine's been giving me similar symptoms and I just want to get an idea of what I might be looking at cost-wise before I take it in. Cheers!
Hey again! Yeah, no worries at all! My repair job came to around £180 total, that covered the new line, clips, labor, and they also topped up my washer fluid which was running low (that bit was 25€). The whole thing took them about an hour and a half. Since the fix, it's been working like a charm! No more warning lights or issues with the washers, both headlight and windscreen systems are working perfectly. It was definitely worth getting it sorted quickly before it could turn into a bigger problem. One thing I learned from this, these washer system issues are usually pretty straightforward fixes if you catch them early. My mechanic mentioned that letting these problems go on too long can lead to pump damage, which would've been way more expensive to fix. Hope this helps give you a rough idea of costs! Let me know how you get on with yours.
Thanks a lot for all the details! You've actually helped me make up my mind. I took my Corsa to the local Vauxhall dealer yesterday, and you were spot on, it was pretty much the same issue. Ended up paying £165 for the whole job, so pretty similar to what you paid. Funny thing is, while I was there waiting, I got chatting with the mechanic who explained that these washer line problems are quite common in EVs from 2019-2020. Something about the clips they used back then not being as durable as they should've been. Everything's working perfectly now, both the headlight washers and the windscreen. Really glad I didn't put it off any longer. The whole thing took about an hour, and they even gave my car a quick wash, which was a nice bonus! Thanks again for your help, saved me a lot of worry about whether I was going to get hit with a massive bill. Case closed on this one!
Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2020 Vauxhall Mokka-e last month. The washer fluid warning kept coming on even though I'd just filled it up. Took it to my regular garage and turned out there was a leak in one of the washer fluid lines going to the headlight cleaning system. Some of the connector clips had degraded, and the fluid was basically leaking out before it could reach the headlight washers. Wasn't a serious issue at all, just needed to replace the damaged line and clips. The mechanic also flushed the system to clear any debris that might have gotten in. Been working perfectly since then, both for the windscreen and headlight washers. Make sure you get it checked soon though, if the system runs completely dry, it could potentially damage the pump. For EVs, I'd stick with Vauxhall certified workshops since they're properly trained with these systems in electric models. Hope this helps!
