Insufficient Cooling/Heating
Mirror doesn't defrost

Thanks that's really helpful! Had no idea about the cable connection possibly being the culprit. Sounds like I might be dealing with something similar. Just curious, do you remember roughly how much they charged you for the fix? And has everything stayed sorted since then, or have you noticed any other quirks pop up?
Hey again! Yeah, no problem, happy to help! Just wanted to update you since my last post. After I got it fixed at the Vauxhall service center, they confirmed it was indeed the faulty cooling circuit water valve. The bill came to 155€, which covered fixing the dodgy cable connection and water valve plug. Was pretty straightforward in the end! Everything's been working like a charm since then, heating's spot on, mirrors defrost properly, and the cabin temperature control is back to normal. Haven't had a single issue pop up in the months since the repair. My Mokka-e's running just as it should now. Honestly, getting it sorted at the authorized dealer was definitely the right call. They knew exactly what they were dealing with and had all the proper diagnostic gear for EVs. If you're still having those symptoms, I'd really recommend getting it checked out at your local Vauxhall dealer. Sounds very similar to what I experienced, and it's not something you want to leave unfixed, especially heading into colder weather!
Just got back from the Vauxhall dealer, you were absolutely right! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Turned out it was exactly the same issue with the cable connection to the water valve control unit. They sorted it out in about 4 hours, and the bill was pretty similar to what you paid, £140. The technician showed me the faulty connection and explained how it was affecting the whole system. Pretty interesting stuff, actually. They ran all the diagnostic tests and recalibrated everything, and now it's working perfectly. The cabin heats up properly, and those pesky side mirrors are defrosting like they should. Really glad I took your advice about going to an authorized dealer instead of my usual mechanic. They definitely knew their stuff when it came to EVs. Feels good to have it sorted before winter really kicks in. Thanks again for all your help, saved me a lot of headache trying to figure this out on my own!
I had a similar issue with my 2020 Vauxhall Mokka-e last winter. The symptoms were pretty much identical, inconsistent cabin temperature control and frozen side mirrors. Took it to the Vauxhall service center where they diagnosed a faulty cable connection to the water valve control unit. The fix wasn't too complex, but it needed specialized diagnostic equipment since it's linked to the EV's thermal management system. They had to recalibrate the valve control module after fixing the connection. The whole job took about half a day, and it's been working perfectly since then. Not exactly a serious issue, but definitely something that needs proper attention from someone who knows EVs. These electronic water valves are crucial for both cabin comfort and battery temperature management in electric vehicles. I'd strongly suggest going to an authorized Vauxhall dealer who has EV certification, rather than a general mechanic. The diagnostic equipment makes a big difference with these kinds of issues.
