Thanks for sharing your experience! That's really helpful as it sounds exactly like what I'm dealing with. Quick question, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the whole repair? Also, has everything been working fine since they fixed it, or have you had any other issues pop up? I'm trying to get an idea of what I might be looking at cost-wise and whether this fix usually sorts it out for good. Thanks!
Hey again! Just wanted to follow up on my earlier post. Since seeing the mechanic a few weeks ago, I can happily report that my Mokka-e has been running perfectly! The issue was indeed just what they suspected, a faulty supply voltage for the speed sensor (ABS). I lucked out because in my case, it was just the component with the integrated sensor that needed replacing, which ended up costing me 170€. Way cheaper than I initially feared when I first posted! Everything's been working like a charm since the repair, no more warning lights, ABS and traction control are both back to normal, and the power loss issue has completely disappeared. I'm actually really relieved it wasn't anything more serious like the complete module replacement I originally thought it might be. So yeah, if you're experiencing the same symptoms, I'd definitely recommend getting it checked out. The peace of mind is worth it, and hopefully, you'll get lucky like me with a relatively straightforward fix. Let me know how it goes! Cheers!
Hey! Just wanted to update you on what happened with my Corsa. Finally got it sorted at the mechanic's yesterday! You were right about getting it checked quickly, turns out my issue was a bit different from yours though. The mechanic found that the entire ABS module needed replacing, just like your initial experience. Ended up costing me £850 including labor, which was a bit of a punch to the wallet, but at least it's fixed now. The whole thing took three days because they had to order the part and do all the programming stuff. Got my car back this morning and took it for a spin, everything's working perfectly now! No more warning lights, and the power loss issue is completely gone. The traction control and ABS are both back to normal too. Thanks again for sharing your experience, it really helped me understand what I might be dealing with and convinced me to get it sorted sooner rather than later. Even though my repair was more expensive than yours, I'm just glad it's all sorted now. Cheers for the help!
Hi there, I had a similar situation with my 2022 Vauxhall Mokka-e last winter. The symptoms you're describing match what I experienced, power loss and ABS/traction control warnings. Initially, I thought it was just the sensor, but when I took it to the garage, they found that the entire ABS control module was failing. The module was actually integrated with several other systems, which explained why multiple features were affected at once. It wasn't just a simple sensor replacement, they had to replace the whole unit and recalibrate the system. It's definitely not something you want to leave unattended, as it affects critical safety systems. In my case, the repair process took about two days because they had to order the specific part and then program it to match the car's systems. While it wasn't the cheapest repair, it was necessary to ensure safe operation of the vehicle. I'd recommend getting it checked soon, these issues don't typically resolve themselves and could potentially become more serious if left unchecked. Best regards
