Complete Audio Failure in Audi Q2 Needs Urgent Fix

Sounds exactly like my experience, total sound system failure out of nowhere with my Q2. The volume control still moved but complete radio silence from every audio source. Had the same diagnosis with a faulty amplifier that needed full replacement. Did your Bluetooth issue also completely resolve after the repair? Mine has been working flawlessly since the fix but I noticed a small sound quality change in the bass response. Mind sharing how much you ended up paying for the repair? The parts and labor hit my wallet pretty hard and Im curious if the pricing was in line with what others paid.

Glad to hear you got it fixed! The complete system including USB audio and Bluetooth issue was fully resolved after my repair. The radio silence is definitely gone and everything works perfectly now. About the bass response, yes, I initially noticed a slight difference too after the repair, but it turned out one of my Bass speakers was actually defective and needed replacement. After getting that sorted for 280 Euro, the sound quality returned to normal with proper low-end response. The sound system has been running flawlessly for several months now, no connectivity problems, consistent audio quality across all sources including auxiliary input, and the Bluetooth connection is actually more stable than before. Professional diagnosis and repair really made all the difference compared to trying temporary fixes.

Thanks for getting back to me! After dealing with complete radio silence for weeks, I finally took it to a certified shop. The mechanic found the same amplifier issue you mentioned. Total bill came to 890 Euro including parts and labor. The sound system now works perfectly across all inputs. The Bluetooth issue cleared up completely and my phone connects even faster than before. While the bass sounds slightly different through the car speakers, the overall audio quality is actually clearer than I remember. Much better experience than my previous repair attempt where they just kept resetting the system without fixing the underlying amplifier problem. Definitely worth paying a bit more for proper diagnosis and repair rather than temporary fixes that dont last.

Had this exact sound system failure in my 2019 Audi A3 2.0 TFSI. The radio silence was identical, complete loss of audio output while the head unit appeared to function normally. The root cause turned out to be a failed amplifier module in the main sound system unit. When testing, the mechanic found that the amp was getting power but not processing any audio signals. This resulted in total audio system failure across all inputs, radio, Bluetooth connection, and auxiliary sources. This is generally a serious electrical issue that requires specialized diagnostic equipment to properly identify. In my case, the entire amplifier module needed replacement, as individual component repair wasnt possible. The sound distortion initially started intermittently before the complete failure. Key diagnostic steps the technician performed: Full system diagnostic scan, Audio connectivity testing across all inputs, Amplifier power supply verification, Speaker circuit continuity checks Would strongly recommend having this checked by an Audi specialist who has experience with MMI audio systems. This issue typically wont resolve itself and could indicate other electrical problems if left unchecked.
