Longer cold start time

Hi all, I have an Opel Insignia and recently I have noticed that it takes longer to start when cold. Also, every time I start the car, a warning appears on the computer screen between the speedometer and rev counter that says 'VEHICLE SOON'. Does anyone know what could be causing these problems and how I can fix them? Thanks in advance for any help.
