Cold start problem on Dacia Duster 1.5dci - Is it normal?

Hi all, I have a Dacia Duster 1.5dci that has problems with cold starts. Despite using engine heaters, it is almost impossible to start it at -15 degrees Celsius. At -12 degrees it starts after several attempts, but the engine does not run well at all. I have never had a car that is so bad at cold starts. Are all Dacia Duster 1.5dci this bad with cold starts, or is it just my car? The workshop finds no faults and at the last inspection no problems were reported. What could be the problem? I otherwise like this car very much, it suits me perfectly. Thanks for the help.

Check the glow plugs first, as they are crucial for cold starts in diesel engines. They might be worn out or not functioning properly. If they are fine, inspect the glow plug relay and wiring for any issues. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

Thanks for the help! The glow plug relay was the problem. Replaced and the car starts

A 2015 Dacia Duster dCi diesel engine overheated due to a lack of oil. The damaged parts were replaced (repair kit, new turbo, everything was fitted), but now it won't start when cold. When the engine does start, it runs beautifully.

Check the oil pressure sensor and ensure it's functioning correctly, as it might affect starting if it doesn't detect proper oil pressure. Also, verify that the oil level is correct and the oil pump is working efficiently. Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions!
