Hey, thanks for the quick feedback. That sounds kind of familiar and it reassures me that it worked for you. But just as an aside, can you remember what all the fun cost you and if anything has come up since? I'd be really interested to know before I march off to my mechanic.

Hey, no problem, that's what we're here for! So after I went to my mechanic, the fault with the throttle valve turned out to be fixed. Because of the defective accelerator pedal module and the internal electronics, the whole thing cost me about €265. Since then, my C5 has been running like clockwork and luckily I haven't had any more problems. I hope this helps you and good luck with your DS5, buddy!

Thanks a lot, buddy! That gives me something to go on. I'm assuming that my DS5 will run smoothly again after the check. And €265 is honestly less than I had feared. Oh yes, that's a load off my mind. I'll drop by my mechanic and hope for the best. Thanks again and I'll keep you up to date!

Hey buddy, I was in a similar situation with my 2011 Citroen C5. My accelerator pedal module or the internal electronics were defective. It was really annoying, the car was also shaking at idle and accelerating was also a problem. So, I immediately drove to my mechanic. He took a quick look at the car and already knew what was wrong. Bit of the same situation as yours, the throttle wasn't the problem, but the accelerator pedal module was. It was a serious issue, but he could fix it, and without too much effort. It wasn't done in a day, I had to leave the car there for about a week. But in the end, my trusty C5 is revving like normal again and the problem is solved. It was scary at first, but if your problem is actually with the accelerator pedal module, it can definitely be fixed. Hope that helps you, dude. Have your DS5 checked. Then you'll know for sure what's going on.
