Thank you for your reply. My C8 currently has 150726 kilometers on it, and the last service was only recently, but these problems had not occurred then. I hope it's not the control unit, I'd hate to have to dig so deep into my pockets. I'll ask my garage anyway. Thanks again!

Hey, no problem, I'm happy to help! It's really hard to say what else it could be without inspecting the car thoroughly. However, I can tell you that my Citroën has had the ABS warning light come on before and it turned out to be due to dirty sensors. That was a cheaper fix. I would still recommend that you have it checked by a specialist, just to be on the safe side. It could be a completely different problem and you shouldn't play with your brakes. Hope that helps you a bit. Good luck!

Yes, you're right, safety first. I hadn't heard anything about dirty sensors causing such symptoms, but of course it's possible. I will definitely follow your advice and get my C8 in for an inspection as soon as possible. Your help was really great, thank you! I hope it won't be too expensive. Fingers crossed!

Hi, so I had a similar problem with my 2007 Citroën C5, it's not exactly the same model but pretty close. I only have some experience with cars, so I'm no expert, but I always try to help where I can. When I had the problem with my car, I went to my regular garage. They carried out a diagnosis and found that the control unit was faulty. It was expensive fun, it cost me 1000 euros. Could you perhaps tell us a bit more about your car? Mileage, previous repairs, that could be helpful to help you better.
