Hey, thanks for the quick reply. It's interesting that you had a similar situation. Do you remember how much you ended up having to pay for the repair at the garage? And were there any further problems after that or has everything gone smoothly since then? I'm interested because I'm really fed up with these mechanic problems and would like to get it sorted out as quickly and easily as possible. Thank you!

Hey, no problem, glad I can help! I totally empathize with your feeling, mechanic problems can be so annoying. Anyway, after I went to the garage, the problem with the empty AdBlue tank was actually solved. As for the costs: I had to dig deep into my pockets to fix the sporadically faulty communication problem between the control units - it was €955. That wasn't exactly cheap, but since then my car has been in top shape again and there have been no further problems. Sometimes you just have to spend a bit of money to have peace of mind for a while. Hopefully it's the same for you and you can solve the problem quickly and without any more headaches. Keep your fingers crossed!

Great, thanks for the detailed information! Well, that's definitely not the news I wanted to hear in terms of costs. But if it stays that way and my car runs again, then that's probably the price I'll have to pay. It's really good to know that you haven't had any more problems since then. I'll have it checked at the garage first thing tomorrow morning. Thanks for the help and words of encouragement, that really helped me. Let's hope for the best!

Hello, I actually experienced something similar with my Toyota Vios (gasoline, year 2015, 180,000 KM run). The indicator light was also on for me and I had problems with the DPF regeneration, just like you. After some diagnostics, it turned out that the control unit, which coordinates communication between various parts of the engine, was exhibiting sporadic errors. It wasn't an easy fault to fix, but the professionals at the garage managed it by updating the ECU's software and recalibrating the engine. It wasn't a fundamental problem, but it still took some time. So, possibly it could just be a software thing, but it doesn't hurt to play it safe and have it checked more thoroughly. Hope this helps you!
