Check Engine lamp lights up - looking for experience and solutions for Renault Arkana Hybrid 2019

Check engine light on

Fault stored

Warning light in the speedometer of the vehicle

Hey guys, I need your help. My 2019 Renault Arkana Hybrid with just over 53k km on the clock is really worrying me right now. The "Check Engine" light is on and a warning light is flashing in the speedometer. An error is also stored. The last time I was at the garage, it was a real pain and I can't shake the thought that the fuel filler flap unlocking mechanism has been tampered with by mistake. Have you ever had a problem like this? How did it go for you in the workshop? I'm really grateful for any experience reports.

Hey buddy, I had a similar problem with my 2016 Renault Scenic. The same "check engine" light was on and it was probably a fault in my linkage. I thought it was something bad at first, but was told it wasn't that big a deal. The last time I went to the garage they replaced the faulty part and the light didn't come back on after that. Seems like the problem from the fuel door release was a false trail. Hope this helps and gives you some relief.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. It's reassuring to know that you had a similar problem and it was solved. Can you remember how much it cost you to replace the defective part in the workshop? And has anything else happened since then? That would be really helpful for me. Thanks in advance!

Hey, sure, I can still remember that. Replacing the broken linkage cost me around 210 euros back then. It wasn't cheap, but at least it fixed the problem. And as for the issue with unlocking the fuel filler flap... Since the visit to the mechanic, everything has been working perfectly! So as far as that's concerned, I can now be really reassured. Nothing else has come up since then. Hope that helps you a bit!

All right, thanks for the info. That really reassures me a little. The price does seem a bit high, but if the problem is solved afterwards, it would be worth it. Good to know that there were no further problems after your workshop visit. I think I'll take my Arkana in for a check-up too. Thanks for the report, it was really helpful!
