Brake Light Signal Implausible" Issue in 2017 Kia Bongo: Seeking Advice and Tips

Brake light not working

Hey all, I've got a 2017 Kia Bongo running on gas with about 38,694 KM on the clock. Recently, my brake light's been acting up – it's just dead. Had a bit of a fiasco at the garage last time, so I'm wary. The problem seems to be some "Brake light signal implausible" thing. Anyone had this issue before? How did your mechanic handle it? Looking forward to some worthwhile tips, cheers!

Hey I get your worry. Had the exact same blip with my 2014 Kia Optima a while back. Crazy coincidence, or just a Kia ghost in the machines, huh? Anyway, my brake light was playing dead too. Kept giving the same "Brake light signal implausible" error message. Took it to my local mechanic, and he figured out pretty quick it was a defective brake light switch. You know, the one that's supposed to tell your brake light to come on when you stomp on the pedal. Apparently, this is not a crazy rare issue, especially with Kia. So, might be the same deal with your Bongo. Worth checking out before you pull out all the wires or something. Keep in mind though, it wasn't exactly a minor problem. Took some time to fix but it did sort out the problem. Good luck!

Hey there, and, Wow, can't believe I'm seeing this! Same problem hit my 2015 Bongo not so long ago. Spot on with the brake light switch. It was indeed the culprit for me too. Looks like our Kias have some common ghosts to exorcize, huh? But yeah, better get it looked at. Don't wanna risk a brake light not working, especially on highways at night. Nightmare waiting to happen. Took mine to a trusted mechanic, though, and he sorted it all out for me. But just outta curiosity, do you remember what you shelled out for that repair? And has anything else gone awry since then? Always good to be prepared for these surprise antics. Cheers!

Hey! Ha, so we're all on the same ghost busting mission, eh? Fun times with our Kias! To answer your question, though, you'd be surprised. I luckily didn't have to shell out a cent for the fix. Turned out it was just a personal error and my local mechanic is a decent guy so no charges for something that wasn't exactly a repair, more of a mishap resolution, eh? And as far as anything else going wrong since then, nope, nada. Since getting the Brake light signal implausible sorted out, my Kia's been running smooth. I hope you and don't get any more unpleasant surprises with your Kias. Would hate to see more apparitions popping up! Cheers!

Hey and! Seems like we're all part of the Kia brigade, running into the same ghosts! Thanks for sharing your experiences, it's put me at a bit of ease knowing that I'm not alone in this, reckon the defect could be a personal error, like in your case? I'll definitely have a chat with my mechanic about it. I'd be chuffed if the fix didn't empty my pockets, like your experience. Fingers crossed! Also, great to hear that your Kia is behaving since the brake light fix. Hope mine follows suit once I get this sorted. Certainly not the most thrilling joyride with our Kias, eh? But hey, always good to know we've got each other's back on this. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Let's keep these ghosts at bay! Cheers!
