Thanks for your detailed response! I've got 134282 KM on my X6, and just had it serviced last month. Already got the codes scanned, showing oxygen sensor and fuel mixture issues. Your fuel injector situation sounds really similar to what I'm experiencing. It's good to know there might be a straightforward fix, even though it's not cheap. I'm gonna take it to my mechanic this week to check the injectors. Did you notice any warning signs before your injector completely failed? Really appreciate the help!

Hey again! Yeah, looking back at my X5 situation, there were definitely some warning signs before the injector completely gave up. Started with occasional rough idling, especially when the engine was cold. Then gradually got worse with the jerking during acceleration, especially between 2000-3000 RPM. Sound familiar? The oxygen sensor and fuel mixture codes you got are exactly what I saw too. Makes total sense since a faulty injector messes with the air-fuel ratio. My car was also showing slightly higher fuel consumption for about a month before I got it checked out, probably was using about 15-20% more fuel than usual. Since you've got similar mileage to what my X5 had when this happened (mine was around 128000 KM), it's definitely worth getting those injectors checked. One tip from my experience, have them check all the injectors while they're at it. My mechanic found that while one was completely shot, another one was starting to show signs of wear too. Ended up replacing both to prevent having to go back in a few months. Let me know what your mechanic finds. Hoping it's as straightforward as mine was!

Thanks so much, that's super helpful! Yeah, the symptoms match exactly what you described, especially that rough idle when cold and the jerking between 2000-3000 RPM. I've definitely noticed the increased fuel consumption too, probably even more than 20% if I'm honest. Really smart tip about checking all the injectors, might as well do them all while they're in there if needed. I'll try to get it in to my mechanic tomorrow actually, rather than waiting until next week. Don't want to risk damaging anything else. Will let you know what they find, but I'm feeling much more confident now about what the issue might be. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience!

Hey there! I have some experience working on BMWs and had a similar issue with my 2014 BMW X5 last year. The symptoms you're describing sound exactly like what I went through, my car was jerking during acceleration and drinking fuel like crazy. Turned out to be a faulty fuel injector. Took it to my regular workshop and they diagnosed it after running some tests. Had to replace the defective injector, which set me back about 515 Euro, but it fixed the problem completely. The car's been running smoothly since then. I've also seen this issue pop up on the BMW X4 of a, seems to be something that can happen across the lineup. Before I can give more specific advice, could you share: Have you scanned for error codes? Which engine variant do you have? How many miles/kilometers on the clock? Any other symptoms you've noticed? Get back to me with these details and I might be able to help more!
