BMW X3 Steering Wheel Controls Dead, Multiple Errors

The steering wheel controls just died on me one day, and I got those same warning lights on the dash. Took it to my regular workshop, and it turned out to be a faulty cable connection in the steering wheel, one of those clock spring things that lets the steering wheel turn while keeping all the electrical connections working.
