Hey! Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm actually going through something really similar right now. Got mine fixed last week and your description matches exactly what happened to my X2. Quick question, do you remember roughly how much you ended up paying for the whole repair? Just want to know if I got charged fairly. Also, has everything been running smoothly since then, or have you noticed any other issues pop up? Thanks!
Hey again! Happy to update you! Yeah, my repair cost came in at 250 € for fixing that pesky AdBlue output issue from the tank to the dosing unit. Looking back at your situation, sounds like we definitely had the same problem. Since getting it sorted at the mechanic, my X3's been running like a dream, not a single AdBlue warning in sight! It's such a relief when these things get fixed properly. I was worried at first that other issues might crop up, but it's been absolutely fine. The engine's starting perfectly, and the system's working exactly as it should. Honestly, if you paid somewhere in that ballpark, I'd say you got a fair deal. These AdBlue systems can be tricky, and getting them fixed right the first time is worth every penny. How's your X2 performing now? Bet it's nice not seeing that warning light anymore! Let me know if anything else comes up, always happy to compare notes!
Hey! Just got back from the mechanic last week and thought I'd close the loop. You won't believe it, my repair bill came to 275 €, so pretty close to what you paid! They fixed the AdBlue issue, and I'm relieved I didn't wait any longer. The mechanic found some crystallization in the lines, just like you mentioned. The funny part was watching them try to explain everything to me with all their technical terms, I just nodded along pretending to understand! But hey, they did a great job. My X2 starts perfectly now, and that annoying warning light is finally gone. The whole repair took about 5 hours, and I spent most of that time at a nearby café working on my laptop. Money well spent, I'd say. Plus, the mechanic gave me some tips about maintaining the AdBlue system to prevent future issues. Thanks again for your help earlier, really made me feel better about the whole situation. Take care!

Engine control light on X1 F48 is permanently lit. I get the error "Active tank, SENT signal (fill level, temperature, quality)".
Please help me solve the problem. Thank you!
Start by checking the AdBlue fluid level in the active tank to ensure it's not low, as this can trigger the error. If the level is fine, inspect the AdBlue tank's sensor connections for any loose or corroded contacts, as these can affect the signal. If the issue persists, it might be a faulty sensor or wiring problem, which would require further diagnosis. Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions!
Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2020 BMW X3 20d last summer. The AdBlue system failure brought my car to a complete stop. Initially thought it was just low fluid, but the diagnostic showed the dosing unit wasn't receiving proper flow from the tank. Turned out the delivery module (pump) inside the AdBlue tank was failing, and some crystalized AdBlue had clogged the lines. Had to get the entire delivery unit replaced and the lines cleaned. It was quite serious since these systems are emissions-critical, the car won't start if there's a major AdBlue system fault. The repair involved draining the tank, replacing the delivery module, and cleaning the lines to the dosing unit. Took about 6 hours at the shop. My advice would be to get it checked asap, as running with a faulty AdBlue system can damage other components. Not all mechanics are familiar with these systems, so I'd recommend going to someone who specializes in BMW diesels. Hope this helps with your decision.
