Actually, before taking my X1 to the workshop, I did try a few basic things, but honestly, I was also pretty cautious about not making things worse! I first tried the classic "turn it off and on again" approach by disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes to reset the electronics. That didn't help at all. Then I tried manually pressing the reset button for the sunblind (you can find it near the overhead controls) and held it for about 10 seconds. Still nothing. With the same symptoms and error code as yours, plus the complete silence when trying to operate it, I'd bet you're dealing with the same dead motor issue I had.
