BMW X2 Electronic Parking Brake System Complete Failure

Hey there! I've got some experience with cars (low experience). I had a similar issue with my 2016 BMW X1 2.0L last year. The electronic parking brake totally gave up, and I got those annoying warning lights too. Turned out the electric motor in the brake caliper was defective. Took it to my regular workshop, and they diagnosed it pretty quickly. Had to replace the whole brake caliper assembly with a new motor. Set me back about 505 Euro, but at least it fixed all those warning lights and the hill assist started working again. What's your current mileage on the X2? Also, are you hearing any unusual noises when trying to engage the parking brake? These details would help me understand if you're dealing with the same problem I had. BTW, have you had any other electrical issues with your X2 before this happened?

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm at 118489 KM, and just had my last service about 2 months ago. Actually, no weird noises at all when engaging the brake, it just completely stopped responding. The brake warning light came on first, then all the other alerts started popping up one after another. It's frustrating because everything was working perfectly fine until yesterday.
